Class Description: C&I is designed to instruct students as needed in study skills such as problem solving, textbook usage, listening skills, organizational skills, following directions, reading skills, test taking skills, note-taking skills, & time management. The instructor will provide reading, writing, & math instruction based on the student’s IEP goals. The goal is to increase the student’s success in the general classroom through instruction & regular communication with the general education teachers, staff, students, & parents. C&I also provides support & guidance in transition related to post high school options.
Class Expectations: Students are expected to be on time for class, be respectful to others, follow class rules/directions, & come prepared with materials
Consequences: 1) Warning 2) Behavior points lost 3) Phone call home 4) Office referral
Materials Needed: paper/notebook, blue or black pens/pencils, work & assignments from other classes, textbooks from other classes

Instruction & Practice (50 minutes)
Academic Support for other classes (20 minutes)
Grading: every day the student can earn up to 20 points towards a weekly grade up to100. Below is a grading chart.
